Bob: Nirvana - Axl Ros question

I always thought there was a fight between Axl Rose and Kurt Cobain.
They ran into each other somewhere and had an argument over Courtney.
And I assumed they hated each other. But now I'm converting VSH"tapes to
DVD and see the making of Don't Cry and there Axl is wearing a Nirvana
cap. Do you know anything about it?

Of course!
Kurt refused to tour on the Metallica/GnR tour. Axl talked a lot of shit
on stage about Kurt being gay and not touring with them because he just
wanted to sit home and shoot dope. I think it happened a few times. Then
at the music awards,they saw Axl backstage and Courtney yelled something
to him about being Frances's godfather. Axl got pissed and told Kurt to
shut his bitch up before he kicked his ass or something like that. Kurt
looked at Courtney and said 'Shut up,bitch' and Axl stormed away like
the moody, insecure,rock star he is. Then something happned later on at
the trailers and Kurt ran to his trailer to 'check on Frances' and Duff
and Krist were going to fight or something. You can actually hear Dave
drunkenly screaming 'Hi Axl' over and over again after their performance
(was that the year they did Lithium and Krist hit himself with the
bass,maybe?).
At some point when Nirvana first hit big,Axl also requested they play
his birthday party...wasn't happening.

At some point when Nirvana first hit big,Axl also requested they play
his birthday party...wasn't happening.

But somehow things turned around, because in an official documentary he
wore that Nirvana cap, and as you said the party request. LOL, looks
like Nirvana/Kurt were the moral winners in this :-)

1992/1993. After the Illusion I & II release

Thats when the doco came out...not when the don't cry video that was
being made in it came out. UUI1&2 came out in 91,like Nevermind. So
thats around the time he would have been wearing the hat from . Think
Don't Cry was the first video from the albums(IIRC),aside from You Could
be Mine. Not sure of the exact time the video was released,but it was at
least 1 1/2 years before the doco was released. It was 92 that Nirvana
did Lithium and had the altercation backstage with them...so I am
willing to bet Axl, in all his vindictive grandeur,never wore another
piece of Nirvana clothing after that!
