Anyone care about/hear the album yet?
I like it for the most part. Has kinda a UYI2 vibe to it. Few
weak,experimental sounding songs I don't like.
I expected to hate it,but surprisingly am very into it. There are a few
standouts that are as good as any of Axl's previous best!

I know this is already being discussed in the GnR group, seemed like an
obvious cross post though!

I don't know yet. I don't like it so much right now. Part of it is as
you said the xperimental songs, different sounds. I could do without
that. But I also wonder if I don't like it so much because of the GnR
history and the history of the album. So I need to give it another as
much as unbiased as possible listen again.

Well? Did you ever give it another listen. I actually ended up buying
it. Can't remember the last time I bought something non-Nirvana(no new
release this year it looks like! Hopefully Reading in early 09) related
musically.

I shuffle played it with a dozen different bands and it was on in the
background and not knowing what was coming, as I dl'd the other bands
for someone else and I did not know most of them, I have to say it
sounded better than my first listen. So I'm leaning towards buying it,
or going for the christmas present thing.
